accessibility statement

Effective Date: September 1st, 2026

Deranged Haunted Attraction is committed to providing a welcoming experience and making our website and attraction reasonably accessible to guests with disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We continually work to identify barriers and improve access to our website, information, facilities, and guest experience.

website accessibility

We aim to make our website easier to use with a range of devices, browsers, and assistive technologies.

Our accessibility efforts may include:

  • Clear page structure and headings
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation
  • Alternative text for meaningful images
  • Sufficient color contrast
  • Descriptive link text
  • Readable typography
  • Properly labeled forms
  • Responsive layouts for different screen sizes
  • Reduced reliance on images containing essential text

Some parts of the website may use third-party services, embedded content, ticketing systems, videos, maps, or social-media features that we do not fully control. We encourage those providers to offer accessible experiences, but their accessibility is governed by their own platforms and policies.

attraction accessibility

A haunted attraction presents unusual accessibility challenges because it may contain:

  • Darkness and limited visibility
  • Loud noises and sudden sound effects
  • Flashing, strobing, or rapidly changing lights
  • Fog and theatrical atmospheric effects
  • Narrow, enclosed, or confined areas
  • Uneven or changing walking surfaces
  • Sudden movements and startle effects
  • Intense visual and emotional content

Accessibility may vary by attraction area, event, operating configuration, and safety conditions.

Guests who may require an accommodation are encouraged to contact us before visiting. Advance notice gives our team the best opportunity to discuss available options and determine how we can assist without compromising guest or employee safety.

mobility access

Some areas may involve uneven surfaces, narrow passages, thresholds, ramps, or route limitations.

Please contact us before your visit if you use a wheelchair, walker, mobility aid, or have difficulty navigating extended walking routes. We can provide current information about accessible entry, routes, and any operational limitations.

Staff members cannot lift or carry guests or mobility devices.

sensory considerations

The attraction is intentionally designed to create an intense sensory experience. It may not be appropriate for every guest.

Visitors who are sensitive to flashing lights, loud sounds, fog, darkness, enclosed spaces, sudden contact, disturbing imagery, or other theatrical effects should review our Safety Disclaimer and contact us with questions before purchasing admission.

Reasonable accommodation requests will be considered individually. Because certain effects and environmental conditions are fundamental to the haunted-attraction experience, not every effect can necessarily be removed or avoided.

service animals

Trained service animals may accompany guests in public areas as permitted by applicable law.

However, the attraction includes darkness, loud noises, sudden effects, performers, crowds, fog, and other conditions that may frighten, distract, or endanger an animal.

Please contact us before visiting with a service animal so we can discuss the attraction environment, current route conditions, and available options.

Emotional-support, comfort, and therapy animals that are not trained to perform a task for a person with a disability may not qualify as service animals under applicable law.

companions and support persons

Guests who require assistance may attend with a companion or support person, subject to applicable admission requirements.

Please contact us in advance if you have questions about admission or accommodations for a required support person.

effective communication

Guests who need information in an alternative format or require communication assistance should contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to provide information in an accessible format or identify another effective method of communication.

requesting an accommodation

To request an accommodation or ask an accessibility question, contact us before your visit whenever possible.

Please include:

  • The date you plan to attend
  • The accommodation or information requested
  • The best way to contact you

You do not need to provide unnecessary private medical details. We may ask limited questions when needed to understand the requested accommodation and applicable safety considerations.

feedback

We welcome feedback about website or attraction accessibility. If you experience a barrier, please tell us:

  • The page, feature, or attraction area involved
  • The problem you experienced
  • The device, browser, or assistive technology used, if relevant
  • How we can contact you about the issue

We will review accessibility feedback and make reasonable efforts to address confirmed barriers.
